1.Demands of lithium battery manufacturing

Due to their high energy density, lithium batteries are in high demand. As the need for electric wearing, battery-operated machinery, Home used storage energy and solar power storage continues to rise, the market for lithium batteries is expected to nearly triple to $116 billion by 2030.

Quality control plays a significant role in helping manufacturers improve the performance of lithium batteries. To manufacture a battery, researchers should ensure the quality of raw materials and processed materials. They also need to assess the quality of battery components as they’re manufactured. A quality control issue along the way can put the final lithium battery's performance, safety, and longevity at risk.

2.Lithium-ion batteries manufacturing capacity

There are three main components of a battery: two terminals made of different chemicals (typically metals), the anode and the cathode; and the electrolyte, which separates these terminals. The electrolyte is a chemical medium that allows the flow of electrical charge between the cathode and anode. Increases in battery performance requires the development of new battery components as well as understanding and addressing the mechanisms that result in performance degradation with repeated charging and discharging cycles. Battery manufacturers must not only deliver consistent overall quality, but they must also deliver it throughout the manufacturing process. Quality needs to be monitored at every stage from raw materials through to cell assembly to maintain production efficiency and minimize waste. Likewise, development of new battery materials must ascertain all the critical parameters that could affect battery performance throughout the entire manufacturing process.
